Requesting a Title

If the Uxbridge or Zephyr Public Library does not have the title (or the format of the title) you are looking for, you can either place a Request to Purchase or an InterLibrary Loan.

How do I Request a Purchase?

Requests to purchase a title can be placed at one of the library’s circulation desks. If approved, a Request to Purchase will add the title to the library’s permanent collection.

Patrons also have the option of participating in Adopt-a-Book by making a donation to the library specifically for the purchase of a particular book or magazine. To find out more about this program, visit Adopt-a-Book.

How do I place an InterLibrary Loan?

Please call the library or visit one of the circulation desks. For an InterLibrary Loan, Uxbridge Public Library will send out a request to libraries across Ontario for the title you wish to borrow. The title will be delivered to the Uxbridge Public Library on temporary loan and will be returned to the lending library when the borrowing period is over.
